Hello, my name is Sara Boyer and I am the graphic designer at NSCS. The NSCS Convention has been a wonderful event we would love to share with you. Check out pictures from the events below.

This is a great picture of the full NLC from last night’s summit kick off.

This is Justin Riggs presenting a workshop this morning called Boosting Chapter Involvement and Making 2008 the Best Year Yet. The presentation was all about how chapter officers need to set goals and mind sets for their chapters to be successful.

Also the NSCS Scholar Store and Exhibit Hall Opened today. Check out some of the great set ups and opportunities our Sponsors and Exhibitors have brought for our members.

Non-existent internet on Tuesday means cutting and pasting from a Word doc on Wednesday:

Between 2-4pm, I helped pack more tote bags than I will probably ever see again in my life. We filled it with all sorts of sponsor goodies like highlighters and deodorant and mints and who knows what else. Believe it or not, all that stuff will come in handy at the convention—the mints prevent employers from reeling back when you approach them. The highlight will help you.. highlight stuff? I don’t think I need to explain deodorant.

(The deo was for the community service– my mistake).

On Tuesday night I had dinner with my National Leadership Council counterpart. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this, the National staff (those of us in the DC. office) are each assigned to work with one member of the National Leadership Council for the entire year. We keep track of what they’re doing, whether they’re staying on course with their goals, are having problems with something etc.

Matthew Kimberlin is my NLC counterpart. After dinner with him (and Jim Duncan, my co-blogger AND his counterpart, the VP of Nontraditional students, Sue Blue) I got the chance to watch all the regional VPs interact and come up with goals for chapter recognition, outreach and many other things. As someone fairly new to NSCS, it was edifying.

More blogging and prep work on Wednesday. Thursday, I will officially be swamped.
